Don't Clip Your Wings by Ingrid Elfver
Have you ever caught yourself thinking that success should come easier? When was the last time you began something and then gave up, believing that you couldn’t finish what you started?
We all do it…
But what do you think happens to your confidence or self-esteem afterward? You tell yourself that you simply cannot do more, be more, or have more in your life. Then a part of you is always wondering if you could have succeeded… if only you'd tried a little harder.
Without realizing it, you’re clipping your wings.
You can’t always succeed at everything you do, but you can always do your best. Even if you fail, you can become stronger and wiser in the process. You can become more likely to keep going in the future when things get hard, and you become more likely to succeed ...if you have the right mindset.
Because you have big dreams, there are going to be time when you fall. But you have to keep getting back up. You have to keep believing. And you have to keep moving forward. Some of the greatest rewards come from simply pushing through the obstacles that come your way.
Don’t hinder your growth by thinking for one moment that you aren’t resilient. You can face and conquer any challenge in your path. By simply following through you’ll learn that you can do much more than you ever thought possible.
You truly are...
POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE.
This Week's Action Steps
When you set out to do something, follow through and finish. Even if your performance or the outcome isn't completely up to your standards. Simply do your very best and be proud of yourself for accomplishing your goal.
Imagine yourself setting goals and achieving them. See yourself moving toward your goals no matter challenge you are faced with. Know that your vision is bigger than any immediate obstacle in front of you. You will accomplish what you have set out to do.
